Schumann Small Footed Plate or Compote in Empress Dresden Flowers # 27605

This is a small footed plate or compote by Schumann in the Empress Dresden Flowers pattern from 1945. I would think it’s more of a footed plate or stand, rather than a compote as the top plate is fairly flat. The plates has a reticulated or cut edge, multicolor flowers and gold trim. The stand is actually two pieces-the base and the plate that are screwed together.

The top plate measures 5.50 inches across and the stand is 3.75 inches tall.

This could be a dessert stand for something small like bonbons or candies. This is one of those patterns that they made a lot of pieces and I’m not finding anything close to this size, so I’m not positive what it is for. It could also hold a candle.

The stand has no chips, cracks, or other damage. It is marked as shown.
