Metal Inkwell Stand with Glass Inkwell and Pen Holder # 27625

This is a footed inkwell stand in a brass color. I am not sure what the metal is as it has no markings. The stand comes with a glass inkwell that fits perfectly in the space. The inkwell has a matching metal lid and the stand has a pen holder, but no pen. The inkwell has a shape that is made for this stand-it is larger on the top and then narrows to fit perfectly in the space.

The stand measures about 7.00 inches by 5.50 inches. The inkwell is 2 1/8 inches across the top and is 2.00 inches tall to the rim and 2 7/8 inches tall to the top of the lid.

I want to note that the inkwell lid has a hole in the top, but I am not sure why. The stand also has a hole in the back left corner, but again, I have no idea why.

The back of the stand is raised up and I do not know if that is strictly decorative or if it is to hold something.

The only markings I found on the stand was a D. No metal markings, no makers mark. The lid and inkwell are also not marked.

The set is clean with no damage. The inside of the inkwell is clean with no residue.
